Thursday evenings, October 21 – December 9, 2010
7:00 to 8:45 p.m., 513 Parnassus Avenue
For many of us, today’s world is out of balance, characterized by breaking news every minute, instant messaging, new technologies to be mastered and more channels of communication than ever before. Scientific advances from integrative medicine can help you bring the balance back and improve the quality of your day. This Mini Medical School will present ways in which you can become your own health specialist, providing the latest news about lifestyle choices we make everyday that can be re-balanced in a way to promote health and prevent disease. With a focus on the latest research we will address strategies such as: re-framing the way you think about your habits and daily rituals; taking a few minutes to check in and see what’s on your mind; bringing your attention to your breath; and making exercise a daily choice.
